By June 10th in Community, News

The Northside Optimist Club of Santa Barbara presented TechEase with a Certificate of Appreciation today in gratitude for Evan Asher’s Technology Tips presentation this morning at the club’s monthly meeting.

The presentation included free tips to avoid the problems that lead many first-time clients to contact TechEase, including free backups, free antivirus and free remote access software.  Asher also brought a pair of Netbooks to demo for the group, including a Dell Mini 9 and an HP Mini 1000.

At the meeting, Optimist Club President Mark Weinsoff announced that the club was providing the Westside Boys and Girls Club with funds for food and gas as well as tickets to the Dodgers game agains the Seattle Mariners June 27th.  Several attendees were familiar with TechEase through their work with related causes such as The Boys and Girls Club, Hearts Adaptive Riding, or the Girl Scouts.  Even so, club members commented that they learned things they never knew about, and were anxious to try some of the free suggestions Asher mentioned.
